THE LAKE
The lake is the focal point for the development, but we've received significant feedback that the appearance is not inline with either the original plans or residents expectations. The lake itself is still managed by Taylor Wimpey and as yet hasn't been "adopted" by Milton Keynes Council.
Milton Keynes Council (MKC) have informed us that they are planning to reinstate the South bank and invest in some additional planting. Woburn Sands Town Council have been active with MKC and Taylor Wimpey and it's hoped we'll work together to improve the appearance of this important feature.
The water level has been a concern for some residents and Milton Keynes Council have informed us that the lake is a "SUDS," (Sustainable Urban Drainage System) and as such the water will be managed and the level will fluctuate as designed. That said it's still the responsibility of Taylor Wimpey and so we'll be following up with them to determine whether there is the need for further investigation or action.
